About This Lodge
Absaroka Mountain Lodge, nestled 12 miles outside the East entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 39 miles west of Cody, Wyoming, offers a charming blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Established in the early 1900s and once owned by Buffalo Bill Cody’s grandson, the lodge provides guests with an authentic western experience. The historic lodge features rustic log cabins, a cozy restaurant, and a welcoming atmosphere.
The lodge operates from May 23rd to September 22nd for the 2024 season, providing a perfect base for exploring Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. Absaroka Mountain Lodge features 15 rustic log cabins that combine historic charm with modern comforts. Each cabin is equipped with heat, electricity, private bathrooms, mini-fridges, and microwaves. Some cabins require a 2-night minimum stay.
All cabins are non-smoking, and pets are not allowed.
Amenities
- The lodge offers several amenities, including WiFi in the Main Lodge with some restrictions. Guests can enjoy fishing in Gunbarrel Creek and the North Fork of the Shoshone River. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, with options for beer and wine. The historic lodge features a cozy restaurant and common areas for relaxation. Additionally, staff and guests receive free season passes to the Cody Nite Rodeo.
Boats
Absaroka Mountain Lodge does not offer boats or boat rentals. Guests interested in boating should consider options available in nearby areas, such as Cody or within Yellowstone National Park.
