About This Lodge

Alaska Kingfishers operates a remote Alaska Salmon Fishing facility located on the banks of the Nushagak River in the heart of Bristol Bay, Alaska. Come fish with our Expert Alaska Fishing Guides. The Nushagak River is Alaska’s most prolific river for Alaska King Salmon Fishing and this river also receives huge runs of Chrome Bright Chum Salmon and Sockeye Salmon.

All anglers are welcome, we offer Alaska fly fishing guides and conventional tackle guided fishing. For an additional charge, Alaska Kingfishers also offers World Class Alaska Fly Out Fishing Trips to Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge. At Bearclaw Lodge we fish the Agulawok River for Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike, and Sockeye Salmon.

Our Remote Alaska Fly Out Fishing Trips provide anglers with spectacular fishing where all you’ll see is wildlife and the fish you catch. We only open our Alaska fishing camp for a few weeks during the prime time of these bountiful Alaska Salmon runs. We recommend that you book early to ensure that you catch that trophy Alaska King Salmon or your first Arctic Char!

Accommodations

At Alaska Kingfishers you will stay in a very comfortable and complete tent camp right on the edge of the river. Each guest will sleep in a two person heated tent cabin, complete with wooden floors, beds with linen. The camp has generator power and shower facilities with hot & cold running water.

We offer all the comforts of home to ensure you have an amazing Alaska fishing trip. The dining tent is a casual place to relax, work on tackle and enjoy some very fine home cooking & baking. The camp is just steps from the river, allowing those with enough energy to actually fish late into the evening under the light of the midnight sun.

Amenities

  • The camp is outfitted with hot showers and washrooms; Outhouse facilities with flushing toilets are conveniently positioned to not be too close or too far away.The camp also includes a separate heated drying tent to hang wet rain-gear and waders, to dry out for the next days use.The dining area is a large heated tent that serves as a casual meeting place to share stories and relax, as well as dine on the hearty home cooking prepared by the kitchen staff. Special dietary needs are no problem.The camp is powered by generators. There is a limited supply of electricity, please rely on battery powered devices. Electricity for re-charging batteries is available on a limited basis.

Boats

Kingfishers operates multiple 20-23 ft., Alumaweld boats that feature comfortable padded swivel seats. The boats accommodate your Alaska fishing guide, up to four anglers and has dry storage space for extra fishing gear. With their stable wide bottom / open floor design, these fishing boats allow you to walk around while fighting fish.
