Trophy King Lodge
Kenai Peninsula, Alaska
About This Lodge
At Trophy King Lodge, we live up to our name. We are the top saltwater lodge for trophy King Salmon in all of Alaska. Location, location, location!
Every trophy King en route to the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers (the two biggest trophy King Salmon rivers in North America), passes in front of the lodge. The average fish we catch in the trophy run weighs in between 45 and 70 pounds. The TKL record to date is a montrous 84 pounds!
In May and early June, we get a great run of Spring Kings (avg. 18-35 pounds). August brings the popular Silver Salmon, which is our biggest saltwater run. Every year, an estimated 70,000 King Salmon and over 1,000,000 Silvers & Sockeye pass by the lodge.
The Kenai and Kasilof Rivers are two of the main rivers for freshwater fishing on the Kenai Peninsula and consistent producers of Trophy Salmon and Trophy Rainbow Trout. The Kasilof is almost all glacial fed causing a light green water color year-around. This is also a drift only river.
We fish the Kasilof from the middle of May through June for the Spring King Salmon. We return in August to fish for those Sporty Silvers.
